Dear Children,

Our Dhamma School is the best place for us to learn the good values and teachings of Lord Buddha. Therefore, you all should come to the Dhamma School enthusiastically. The monks and your teachers at the temple take great effort to teach you Dhamma by sacrificing their valuable time and energy. Your teachers don’t get or expect anything in return for their services. So you must make it a point to attend your Dhamma School classes regularly. And don’t forget that however busy your mother and father might be, they bring you to the temple because they love you and want you to learn good values and customs.
This program aims to help children aged between 4 to 12 years develop universal ethics for living life. We start with mindfulness meditation or Metta meditation flowed by a story about topics such as kindness, generosity honesty and we share ideas and experiences. The life of the Buddha and his noble teachings will teach to broaden their knowledge. The children learn skills to calm disturbing emotions and how to protect their actions of body, speech, and mind from harming others. Activities that encourage a caring attitude and mindfulness will include stories, meditation, and role-play.
